In case you weren't aware, John Cusack is in most movies. In 2013 alone, he currently has nine movies scheduled to be released. These days he's starting to take on roles based on real people, including Edgar Allan Poe in "The Raven" and Richard Nixon in the upcoming "The Butler."

Now, The Wrap reports Cusack may be getting ready to sign on to portray another real person. The actor is reportedly in negotiations to play founding Beach Boys member Brian Wilson in an independent film about his life, titled "Love & Mercy." If Cusack ends up with the role, he will play Wilson during his later years. "Looper" star Paul Dano is attached to play the younger version of Wilson.

"Love & Mercy" looks at WIlson's life, including his battle with mental illness, and will include several important moments in his life, reimagined for the film. The Oscar-nominated producer of "The Tree of Life," Bill Pohlad, is attached to direct the movie for his own production company.
