Johnny Depp apologizes for inappropriate rape comparison

Lessons in procuring the public sympathy: yes, a photo shoot may be hard work, but it seems glamorous to us plebeians so don't complain about them. And certainly don't compare them to...well...

Enigmatic actor Johnny Depp opened up to Vanity Fair this month and commented on what it feels like to have his picture taken, particularly during photo shoots.

"Well, you just feel like you're being raped somehow. Raped...It feels like a kind of weird -- just weird."

We get the comparison, but there is a short list of words that you just don't compare things to. Depp corrected himself, stating that "[it] was a poor choice of words on my part in an effort to explain a feeling. I understand there is no comparison and I am very regretful. In an effort to correct my lack of judgment, please accept my heartfelt apology.

Between this and his admission that he accepts "stupid money" for films, this is shaping up to be one hell of an interview.
