"Comic Book Men" star Kevin Smith's Canadian horror film "Tusk" has yet to debut, but he's already heading into production on the follow-up, "Yoga Hosers." What's more, he's doing it with one of his more star-studded casts.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Johnny Depp, Tony Hale ("Veep"), Natasha Lyonne ("Orange Is the new Black"), Austin Butler ("Switched at Birth), Adam Brody ("The O.C."), Tyler Posey ("Teen Wolf") and Jason Mewes ("Jay and Silent Bob's Super Groovy Cartoon Movie") will all appear in the film. They will join the cast of "Tusk," including Michael Parks, Justin Long, Genesis Rodriguez and Haley Joel Osment.
Depp found his way to the project through his daughter, Lily-Rose Depp. She and Smith's daughter, Harley-Quinn Smith, star in "Yoga Hosers" as two teenage yoga nuts, both named Colleen, who must fight an ancient evil. They do so alongside famed man-hunter Guy LaPointe (Depp).
The Colleen characters both appear in "Tusk," tying the movies together. "Yoga Hosers" is set to begin production within the week, while "Tusk" hits theaters on Sept. 19.
