johnny-lewis-getty.jpg Johnny Lewis, the "Sons of Anarchy" actor who murdered his landlady and her cat in what police think was a drug-fueled rage before falling to his death from the roof of her house, used to be involved in the Church of Scientology, reports TMZ.

A rep for the church tells them he has been inactive for years, but TMZ has learned Lewis' father Michael reached a high level within the church and that Lewis himself was involved in Narconon, the church's drug abuse program.

There is a picture of Lewis in 2004 at substance abuse prevention event in Orange County. After TMZ contacted Scientology about the photo and the event, the photo and story were removed from the Scientology website.
