Johnny Lewis: 'Sons of Anarchy' actor's death ruled accidental, no drugs in his system

An autopsy report on Lewis, who died Sept. 26 after allegedly killing his 81-year-old landlady, says Lewis did not have drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death, according to the Los Angeles Times. It also says he wasn't trying to commit suicide when he jumped from the second story of his home.

The report says Lewis "jumped over a wrought iron railing at the top of the terrace to a driveway below during his attempt to flee the location" after allegedly killing Catherine Davis and her cat. Something altered his flight on the way down, however, and caused him to hit the driveway head-first.

Lewis had been released from jail a few days prior to his death and had reportedly been using drugs for several months prior. The lawyer who represented him in two arrest cases earlier in the year urged him to get treatment, but he refused.
