Joplin, Missouri storm live-tweeted by 'Parks and Rec's' Chris Pratt

joplin-missouri-destruction.jpgPhotos of the destruction in Joplin, Missouri following Sunday night's shocking tornado strike have left us all stunned. A twister tore a mile-wide path of mayhem through the city, wrecking their largest hospital and killing at least 89 people.

"Parks and Rec" star Chris Pratt was on a flight from New York to Los Angeles and witnessed the storm from a rare perspective - he was above it. Naturally, he did what we'd all do when stuck on a terrifying plane ride... he tweeted about it. chris-pratt-twitpic.jpg

"Watching the most insane lightning storm i've ever seen out the left side of a ny to la flight. literally several thousand flashes in 7 min," he began.

His tweets took on a different tone a few moments later. "please tell me what the f*** is going on. is this normal? it hasn't stopped flashing. 20 strikes of lightning per second. I swear to god."

He watched the storm raging outside the plane and continued, "For those of u who are below that f***ed up creepy ass f***ing scary ass storm. I'm seriously praying for you. F***in shit. FYI It looks BAD. #CRAZYF***INGLIGHTNINGTORNADO For those of you in MO I'm praying hard up here for you. May you and your family and loved ones be safe."
