Julia Roberts' sister Nancy Motes says A-list sibling bullied her for being fat
"When I was in high school and she was an adult, she would just let me know that I was definitely overweight," Nancy Motes tells the New York Daily News of her big sis. "She would make it quite clear to me and in a not-so-nice a manner."
Motes once weighed 300 pounds, but says years of criticism from her famous sister pushed her to undergo gastric bypass surgery. At 37-years-old and three-years post-surgery, Motes now weighs 155 pounds and proudly flaunts her figure to NYDN.
When Julia hit it big with the iconic 1990 film, "Pretty Woman," Motes say she herself was just an "awkward" eighth-grader. She now hopes to reconcile with her big sis, but says "It's a work in progress. It's not going to be fixed overnight, nor do I think it's going to be fixed at this point by me just getting skinny." Uh ... It's probably not going to be fixed by spilling the beans to the media either.
As for whether Julia is making moves to repair their relationship, Motes says "I think we're both trying to change our opinions of each other." The Daily News says they reached out to Roberts' rep, but did not get a response.
