Julian Assange: Could the Wikileaks mastermind make it as a TV talker?
Now the 40-year-old Australian says he's poised to launch his own TV talk show. The theme, according to Assange, "the world of tomorrow." In a statement released on Wikileaks, the show is described as a platform for Assange to challenge guests -- "iconoclasts, visionaries and power insiders" -- and get their thoughts on how to "secure a brighter future."
WikiLeaks says the show will start airing in March, but includes no information on how it will be produced or where it will appear, though they do claim to have licensing deals in place that will bring the show to "Over 600 million viewers across cable, satellite and terrestrial broadcast networks."
Though, reports the Associated Press, ongoing legal trouble may keep Assange too busy to host the show.
