Graham Yost says he and his fellow writers are "still looking" for a role for Stonestreet, an Emmy winner for playing Cameron on the ABC hit, on the FX show. Season 3 of "Justified" wrapped up on Tuesday, and the show will return to FX early next year.

"He's a Kansas boy, and he'd like to play a bad guy," Yost tells The Wrap. "So if we can come up with something that fits in with ['Modern Family's'] schedule, of course we will ... he's just great."

Stonestreet may be best known for his comedic performance as Cameron, but he's got plenty of drama credits to his name as well. He played a death row inmate on "Nip/Tuck" in 2009 and had a recurring part on "CSI" in the early 2000s. He's also guest-starred on "American Horror Story," "NCIS" and "The Mentalist."
