Justin Bieber has a lot of respect for Michael Jackson, and for good reason. The 19-year-old pop star, who was only 15 when Jackson passed away in 2009, expressed his admiration for the King of Pop in a series of tweets recently.

"Excited for what is to come. MJ set the bar. Not only for music but for being an entertainer and how u treat the fans. Wish he was here..." Bieber wrote on Aug. 16. "MJ. The greatest of all time. #fact"

Those are some pretty innocent tweets, right? But what they spawned became something much more serious. Someone, assumedly a Bieber fan, let his or her excitement get the best of them and took the comparison of Bieber and Jackson to heart. What's the only thing to do with faced with the concept of Bieber and MJ together? Create your own collaboration, of course.

A lyric video that seems to be a remix incorporating Bieber into the leaked Jackson track "Slave to the Rhythm" appeared online later on Aug. 16. "Slave to the Rhythm" originally leaked not long after Jackson's death. Though many news outlets originally reported that the collaboration was real, it seems as though it's nothing more than an overzealous YouTuber. Still, now that the idea is out there, maybe a posthumous collaboration between Bieber and MJ isn't such a bad idea. What do you think?
