Kanye West politely asks for 'Black Skinhead' music video leak to be taken down
Over the past few days, a music video of Kanye West's single "Black Skinhead" has been making the rounds that has left people feeling curious and a bit disturbed. It turns out that the video was never meant to see the light of day in its current form, and West had to take to Twitter to ask media outlets who had posted it to now take it down.
The BLKKK SKKKN HD video that leaked yesterday was not the official version.-- KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) July 9, 2013
Me and Nick Knight have been working on this video for 5 months and for creatives it's heartbreaking when something like this happens.-- KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) July 9, 2013
The final version will be ready within the next week.-- KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) July 9, 2013
So any website that may have the unapproved / unfinished ruff. I ask you to please take it down.-- KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) July 9, 2013
Allow me and Nick to give the world what we've been losing sleep over.-- KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) July 9, 2013
Of course, Kanye wouldn't be Kanye if he didn't say something a little offensive when he signed off on his surprisingly docile Twitter conversation. The rapper left one final message to the person behind the leak, tweeting, "And to who ever leaked the video... F*K YOU!"
