Kara DioGuardi is 'Going Platinum' on Bravo; Brett Favre = big ratings

Former "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi will be back on TV next year as the lead judge in "Going Platinum," a competition for singer-songwriters on Bravo. Singer Jewel will host and also serve as a judge for the show, which will put 12 musicians through a series of songwritng challenges for a $100,000 prize and publishing and recording deals. [ Bravo]

Brett Favre facing his former team and the controversy surrounding him helped NBC score its biggest "Sunday Night Football" audience ever. Sunday's (Oct. 24) Vikings-Packers game drew 25.7 million viewers. [ NBC]

"Dancing With the Stars" co-host Brooke Burke will join "The Bachelor's" Chris Harrison as a host of the 2011 Miss America pageant on ABC. It's scheduled to air Jan. 15. [ ABC]

Tim McGraw, Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes and Darius Rucker are among the first group of presenters announced for the CMA Awards. The awards air Nov. 10 on ABC. [ CMA Awards]

FOX has greenlit pilot production for "Locke and Key," an adaptation of a graphic novel by Joe Hill, Stephen King's son. Josh Friedman ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") is writing the script and will exec produce alongside Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci ("Fringe," "Hawaii Five-0"), among others. [ Variety]

Former "Dexter" showrunner Clyde Phillips has set up a project at HBO. It's called "The Naked Truth" and is based on an Israeli series about the investigation of a teenage girl's disappearance. [ Deadline]
