Former "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi's new reality competition, " Platinum Hit," hasn't even premiered yet and it seems Bravo already thinks she's ratings gold.
The network just announced it's developing a reality series starring DioGuardi with the working title, "Kara." That's easy to remember.
"I am excited to broaden my relationship with Bravo," says DioGuardi. "I am a fan of the network and appreciate how their programming gives the audience a bird's-eye view into different industries and really uncovers what makes people tick."
The new series will follow the music maven in her personal time and during her hectic career as a songwriter, producer, music publisher and record executive.
It's produced by World of Wonder, the same company behind Logo's "RuPaul's Drag Race" and Bravo's own "Million Dollar Listing."
We're totally happy for her, but we're suddenly getting déjà vu. Anyone remember Bravo's trashtastic "Hey Paula!" from 2007? Paula Abdul would love to forget it.
Watch a clip to jog your memory:
She called the experience "disturbing" and it only lasted one season. Maybe Kara should give her a call?
While "Kara" may take a second to reach our screens as there was no word on when it will air, DioGuardi's other Bravo show, "Platinum Hit," in which she judges contestants' songwriting talents, debuts Monday, May 30 at 10 p.m. ET.
What do you think of Kara's latest Paula-like move?
