Kate Middleton having a girl? The Duchess may have nearly spilled the beans

US Weekly reports that during the event, Kate was given a teddy bear by Diane Burton, a local woman, and she responded, "Thank you, I'll take that for my d --" and then cut herself off.

Witness Sandra Cook says she overheard the exchange and asked Kate, "You were going to say 'daughter,' weren't you?" and Kate replied, "No, we don't know," then when Cook said, "Oh, I think you do," Kate said, "We're not telling."

An insider tells US Weekly that the Duke and Duchess have learned the sex of their baby, but "they've only told their parents."

If their firstborn is a girl, that's big for England. She will become Queen of England regardless of whether any subsequent siblings are brothers, according to the new Succession of the Crown Bill, whereas Queen Elizabeth II is Queen because her father only had daughters.
