Kate Middleton's wedding dress: Cat Deeley weighs in on the bride and guests' fashion

kate-middleton-apr-2011-gi.jpg Cat Deeley, proud fashionista, has a sound guess for the fashion question plaguing millions: Just what designer will Kate Middleton wear?

"I can't wait to see the dress," Deeley says on a break from her special correspondent duties covering the Royal Wedding for CNN. "I think it might be Sarah Burton."

Burton became the creative director at Alexander McQueen after his suicide last year, and is known for edgy and fabulous bridal gowns.

"The designs are chic, but classic," Deeley says of Burton's work. "They are whimsical and young. It will fill the abbey so exquisitely."

Regardless of what Middleton chooses, Deeley says, "she is beautiful, and will look great in anything. It will need to be something with a little flair, and is dramatic."

For her part, Deeley is wearing Mulberry and Lynx of London jewelry. Despite that every female American TV correspondent seems to be getting outfitted with a hat, Deeley is not bothering with millinery.

"You don't have to wear a hat," Deeley says. "They are being very lenient on the guys. Normally they have to wear morning suits, and they don't. There might be people who don't own morning suits because they are coming from charities. They are a modern couple. It is a new generation, and I think it is a great that they embrace."
