Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is having a busy April. In addition to the return of "Game of Thrones" on HBO, he's also featured as jerk three-timing boyfriend/husband Mark King in the new Cameron Diaz romantic comedy "The Other Woman."

Lucky guy that he is, Coster-Waldau got to have on camera romantic relationships with Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton. While he was promoting the movie on "Chelsea Lately," Coster-Waldau shared a risque story about how Upton spanked him a bit too hard with a whip while they were shooting a sex scene (see the aftermath above).

The subject came up at the press conference for "The Other Woman" on April 11, and Upton was quick to defend herself.

"Alright, well let's start off with: I said I didn't feel comfortable with the scene, and somebody said that he was totally down for the scene," Upton says.

"Absolutely, I was down," Coster-Waldau quips back. "I was fine with it. I thought she did a terrific job. I've never seen colors that beautiful on my body. ... I still have [the bruise]. I'm still walking with it."

Apparently Coster-Waldau felt the need to bring up the story because the spanking scene in question never made it to film. As Upton and the rest of the cast kept laughing about the tale, Coster-Waldau continued to rib his young costar.

"It didn't hurt that much -- I mean, it did when she hit me," he says. That caused Upton to play dirty, teasing back, "You had your hand taken off on 'Game of Thrones.' It couldn't have hurt that much."

In Upton's defense, Coster-Waldau says, "Kate did exactly what she was told to do, and she did it full on, and she gave it her best, and she's a strong girl."

"I'm a horseback rider," Upton agrees with a smile. "I know how to use a whip."

"The Other Woman" is due in theaters on April 25. "Game of Thrones" is currently airing Sundays on HBO at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
