Katie Holmes may make her first regular return to television after "Dawson's Creek." The actress has been cast in a "Dangerous Liaisons"-like pilot on ABC from writer Richard LaGravenese ("Behind the Candelabra").

On the show, which is currently untitled, Holmes will play an educated and well-bred woman named Ann (according to TVLine). Basically a good and intelligent person, Ann and her husband even run a philanthropic organization.

It all changes when two "friends," Philip (Rufus Sewell) and Margot, bet that they can destroy Ann's perfect marriage and life. But when Ann learns to play this game herself, she becomes a match even for Philip.

The ABC pilot will be directed by Taylor Hackford ("Ray").
