Katy Perry celebrates 29th birthday with 'Good Morning America' 'Roar' high school concert - Watch
After months of build up, Katy Perry finally performed for Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Colo. after the school won her "Good Morning America" "Roar" high school video contest. The thousands of students at the school came out to watch Perry perform a concert just for them that happened to take place on her 29th birthday.
"I'm 29 and I feel great!" Perry tells "GMA." "I still feel like I'm 13 sometimes. Obviously, you can tell by my music and my spirit!"
Lakewood won the contest by creating a video showing everyone in the entire school in one epic one shot. Perry says it was the winner for her because she "just loved all the participation and the unification ... of all of you guys coming together and roaring in one shot. That was so cool." It only helped that the Lakewood's school name is the Tigers.
Since she spent her birthday with them, Lakewood presented Perry with an epic birthday cake. "Lakewood couldn't let @katyperry leave without a birthday cake! Wishing you the happiest bday, Katy!" "GMA" tweets along with a picture of the cake.
