Katy Perry's album promotional truck hit by drunk driver
Let's hope her album sales don't crash, too: the gold truck Katy Perry commissioned to drive around promoting her upcoming album was hit by a drunk driver.
On Friday (August 9), the golden semi-truck emblazoned with Perry's new album name, "Prism," was parked in a Walmart parking lot in Pennsylvania when a driver of another semi-truck slammed into it causing substantial damage to the front of the cab, TMZ reports. The driver is currently in the process of being arrested for drunk driving.
Thankfully, no one was in the truck at the time of the crash. The driver of the promotional truck was inside the Walmart, and Perry wasn't on site at all.
Cops say the drunk driver initially fled the scene after the collision but quickly returned to the parking lot afterwards, avoiding a hit-and-run charge on top of driving drunk.
Perry later tweeted about the accident:

Lets remember her as she once was with some RT's!!! #PRISM semi!!!-- Katy Perry (@katyperry) August 10, 2013
"Prism" drops on Oct. 22.
