Kelly Clarkson has had a change of heart. Though she's been wedding crazy recently, the singer now says she doesn't need a big ceremony to tie the knot with her fiance, Brandon Blackstock. Instead, Clarkson and her man are going to elope, even if they were already knee-deep in planning the festivities.

Kelly tells People, "We are so busy that we finally just came to terms the other night and were like, 'So, we change our minds and we want to elope'." There were a few different reasons for the change, including the ceremony information going public. "We sent out a save-the-date to everyone and then it got crazy and all the details were leaking," Kelly explains.

The easiest solution? Kelly and Brandon mailed out an engagement photo to those got got a save the date, which included the message, "Thank you so much for understanding, but it's just going to be me and Brandon and his two kids and the minister."

There will still be a party, though. Clarkson says that upon completion of their new house, friends are throwing them a "stock the bar" party. So, she'll still get that wedding reception feeling, which is good considering how excited she's seemed about the whole affair. She'll also get a bunch of booze.

No word on when the couple plans to say "I do."
