Kelly Rowland knew about 'Beyonce' visual album and didn't tell usAdd to Favorites | The X Factor
"No," Rowland tells Zap2it when asked if it was difficult to keep from spilling the details. " Demi [Lovato] called me [after the news first broke and I told her] it's none of my business to tell. It's not! It's something that Bey wanted to share with her fans and she did. She did such an incredible job on this album. It's such a great album; I couldn't be more proud of her."
Rowland knew about the album for a while, but didn't know exactly when it was going to drop. "I've been around for the preparation of it but I think she knew the date and just kept it to herself," she says backstage after the "X Factor" finale performance show. "We were all surprised."
Also surprised? Rowland's fellow "X Factor" judge Lovato, who says she really did call Rowland when she heard the news. "I called her the second I found out and I was like 'You b****!' She was like 'What?' I was like 'Beyonce released an album at midnight tonight and you didn't tell me! How could you keep that a secret from me?' She said 'I didn't even know it was dropping tonight.' But she was laughing," Lovato says. "It was funny."
Rowland has also been keeping a secret of her own -- that she's engaged to longtime boyfriend Tim Witherspoon. She's been asked about it plenty after "The X Factor" shows, but now she finally opens up. "It's all good, no date [yet]," she shares. "You know, I think we just really want it to be us and our pastor. That's it. I mean we are the only two that's going to be in the marriage. You have to pay for food for everyone and I'm not down with that! [Laughs] Everyone is there just to be nosy and see who I'm wearing."
