Kendrick Lamar's 'Control' verse blasts fellow rappers

big-sean-kendrick-lamar-control-track.jpgRapper Big Sean (above, left) has released to the world an extended track that didn't make it onto his "Hall of Fame" album, which is due out Aug. 27. The track is called "Control" and couldn't be included on the album due to sample licensing issues.

Big Sean tweets, "This one that didn't make the album cuz of the sample BUT IT IS NOT no radio s***.. Straight rap... I'm talking 7min s***... Grimey s***."

The track features a verse by Kendrick Lamar (above, right), who was recently named Hottest MC in the Game by MTV, wherein Lamar challenges all his fellow rappers to step up their game. It certainly made waves Monday night (Aug. 12). Lyrics include:

I'm usually homeboys with the same n****s I'm rhymin' with
But this is hip hop and them n****s should know what time it is
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Pusha T
Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron', Tyler Mac Miller
I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you n****s
Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n****s.
They don't wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you n****s
What is competition? I'm tryna raise the bar high
Who tryna jump and get it? You better off tryna skydive

He definitely got their attention. Here are just a few tweets in response to Kendrick's verse:
