Kevin Bacon got himself in a bit of trouble with international and slow-viewing fans of "The Following" when he retweeted a major plot point from the show's most recent episode, "The Curse." Be warned, the spoiler lies ahead.

It all started when TV executive producer Jodi Gomes tweeted at Bacon following the episode's airing, "@kevinbacon is a murderer too! Nice twist @kevwilliamson @thefollowingfox #JoeCarol." Seeing this as a compliment, Bacon retweeted it, upsetting fans who had not yet had a chance to see "The Curse" and have the major plot point revealed to them in the show. Bacon has 234,000 Twitter followers.

Following the backlash to his retweet, Bacon took to Twitter to issue his apology. "To all the fans abroad and late watchers I'm truly sorry I retweeted a spoiler. I just wasn't thinking. Won't happen again. #MyBad," he wrote. It just goes to show that you need to be careful about what you retweet.
