Kevin Hart arrested for DUI after almost hitting a gas tanker
Kevin Hart nearly caused some major damage due to his drunk driving. The comedian was driving on Los Angeles' 101 Freeway at around 4:30 a.m. PT on April 14 when he "almost collided with a gas tanker truck."
California Highway Patrol pulled Hart over and arrested him for a DUI because he showed "objective signs of intoxication" and was "unable to perform field sobriety tests," TMZ reports. He had been "driving erratic" on the freeway and was clocked "going 90 MPH."
If Hart had hit the gas tanker, he could have caused some serious damage. He put himself and those around him in a lot of danger, so it's no surprise that he was booked into a local jail under the charge of a misdemeanor DUI. He posted a $5,000 bond.
