Kevin Jonas gets 'Married' to E! in new reality series

The cable channel has ordered 10 episodes of "Married to Jonas," which will follow the lives of Kevin Jonas and his wife, Danielle, as they try to balance their desire for an everyday family life with Kevin's career. The Ryan Seacrest-produced show premieres in August, and it sounds as if Joe and Nick Jonas will make a few appearances as well.

The show is part of a big development slate at E!, which is doing a bit of rebranding (new tagline: "Pop of culture") and investing in some scripted shows in addition to more reality shows and a talk show starring Whitney Cummings. E! has also ordered a talent competition called "Opening Act" from "American Idol" and "So You Think You Can Dance" producer Nigel Lythgoe.

Among the scripted projects that caught our eye:

- "Anne of Hollywood," which sets the story of Anne Boleyn and King Henry VIII in present-day Tinseltown. It's based on a novel by Carol Wolper and is being produced by John Wells Productions ("ER," "Southland").

- "Dorothy," a "Wizard of Oz"-inspired romance about a young woman who falls in love with the proprietor of a hotel in Emerald City and moves there with him. Natalie Krinsky ("Gossip Girl") is the writer.

- "Upstarts," a drama set in the Silicon Valley tech bubble of the late '90s and produced by Kevin Spacey and Michael DeLuca ("Moneyball").

- "Amy Devlin Mysteries," a private-eye show centered on a pop culture-obsessed young woman and based on the graphic novel series of the same name.
