Sophie Devereaux's body isn't even cold yet on "The Originals," but Daniella Pineda has already lined up her next role.

After Pineda's character was killed off The CW's "Vampire Diaries" spinoff series on Tuesday (Feb. 4), news broke the next morning on Wednesday (Feb. 5) that she landed a series regular role on NBC's drama pilot "Odyssey," TVLine reports.

Guess that means "The Originals" executive producer Julie Plec wasn't lying about Sophie's death being permanent.

"Odyssey" is a thriller about three families whose lives are torn apart when a corporate attorney, a political activist and a stranded female soldier become a part of a shocking international military conspiracy. Pineda is set to play reporter Molly, a love interest for a leading protester against the G8 summit.

Are you sad to see Sophie go for good? At least you'll still get your Pineda fix on "Odyssey."
