Kim Kardashian does not qualify for Hollywood Walk of Fame star, says landmark rep
During Kanye West's recent interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," where he and Kimmel put their Twitter feud to bed, West also said this: " It's like people are so, so dated ... There's no way that Kim Kardashian shouldn't have a star on the Walk of Fame."
But Ann Martinez, a spokesperson for the Hollywood landmark, tells the New York Daily News that no, people being themselves on TV do not get Walk of Fame stars.
"We don't have a category for reality stars on the Walk of Fame. They're not giving a performance, it's just them going through their daily lives and rituals on TV," says Martinez. "We honor people who've acted in or directed or produced an award-winning show or film. And it's the same with music, people who maybe have gold records."
"I understand that Kanye loves his girlfriend, but that's not the way to go about getting a star - on national TV without checking into whether or not she qualifies, which she does not," Martinez adds.
Oh, c'mon. In her sex tape, she had to act like she was into Ray J. That totally counts.
