Kim Kardashian has psoriasis; it's OK, she'll survive
Psoriasis is, according to WebMD, a skin condition caused by skin cells that multiply 10 times quicker than usual and often result in "red plaques covered with white scale." Psoriasis can also lead to "disorders of the fingernails and toenails, including discoloration" and "plaques of scales or crust on the scalp."
As Kardashian's one-time friend Paris Hilton would say: That's hot.
Kardashian's doctor suggested she slow down her busy schedule to alleviate some of the symptoms, which are often cyclical and can be affected by stress.
"It's just not possible," she said.
"My career is doing ad campaigns and swimsuit photo shoots," Kardashian explained to the doctor. "People don't understand the pressure on me to look perfect."
While there is no known cure for psoriasis, it is treatable with everything from topical ointments to ultraviolet light therapy.
