Kim Kardashian vs. Teen Moms: Bring on the catfight
Taking to her blog, the reality star writes, "It seems that shows like "Teen Mom" are all of the sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls. The kids from these shows are all over the news, even on the covers of magazines, and have become almost like celebrities, but girls, these are not people you should idolize!"
Right, because the appropriate way to get famous is by leaking a sex tape.
Unsurprisingly, the Teen Moms are not pleased.
Hot mess Amber Portwood has fired back, telling E! News, "There's actually a study that shows since the original '16 and Pregnant' aired, the number of teen pregnancies has gone down."
Not that we generally support any of Portwood's actions, but at least she's not trying to play the "but-I-am-a-role-model" angle.
"She made a sex tape when she was younger, and she wants to bash the girls on 'Teen Mom'?" Portwood says. "If you read the articles about the show, they do nothing but talk about how the show reveals how hard it is for all of us. It doesn't glamorize anything! It shows the heartache we've all gone through."
Jenelle Evans of "Teen Mom 2" doesn't quite put it so eloquently.
"I want to say, s*** happens," Evans says.
Yes, indeed it does.
