Kris Humphries going through 'difficult time,' dries tears with piles of money

kris-humphries-sector-getty.jpgListen, we sort of felt bad for Kris Humphries for a minute. He's not exactly a paradigm of tact, but after being blindsided by Kim Kardashian's decision to seek a divorce after he spent their two months of marriage putting on a happy face for her reality show, he handled himself with a bit of grace.

Now, we just want him to crawl back under the basketball-shaped rock from which he emerged.

Last week, Humphries announced that while he's going through a "difficult time"... he's totally making tons of money! He held a press conference in New York about his new endorsement deal with Sector watches (to the tune of $150,000 and, well, a whole lot of free timepieces).

"I'm happy to be here," Humphries said, according to Us. "As you all know, this has been a difficult time in my life, and I'm so grateful [for] my friends at Sector for their unwavering support. Most of all, they really do have great watches. A portion of the sales will go to my foundation which is all set up to fight against childhood obesity and it's a really great thing."

The watch company, Humphries says, represents him well. "It truly represents who I am both on and off the court," he says. "I've been a watch and fashion lover my entire life, and a competitor, and the no limit tag is really about how I approach my career."

Career?

Oh, right. Humphries says he's still training every day in the hopes that the NBA Lockout will end. In the meantime, he's working on his foundation.
