Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard welcome a baby girl named LincolnAdd to Favorites | The Ellen DeGeneres Show
The celebrity couple welcomed a new daughter named Lincoln Bell Shepard on Thursday (March 28). While the parents had said that they knew the sex of their baby before little Lincoln's arrival, this is the first time they have made any public statement on it.
Shepard first posted the news via Twitter:
"Lincoln Bell Shepard is here. She has mom's beauty and dad's obsession with breasts. Hooray!!!"
Bell followed up with a tweet of her own:
"My new roomate poops her pants and doesn't pay rent...basically @daxshepard1 pre-sobriety :) welcome baby Lincoln xo"
Making a perfectly acceptable choice, both parents neglected to say anything about the birth itself. Bell had earlier stated on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that she had no intention of suffering through any more than she had to at the birth. "I feel like when I arrive at the hospital, I want a glass of whiskey," she joked back in January. "I want the epidural in my back. And I want to get hit in the face with a baseball bat and wake me up when it's over. Because I've seen the videos and it looks terrifying."
There is no word on the baseball bat.
This is the first child for the couple, who are both busy television actors. Shepard is on NBC's "Parenthood," while Bell stars in Showtime's "House of Lies." She will also appear -- after some maternity leave -- in the Kickstarter-funded "Veronica Mars" movie.
