To say that Kristen Stewart has been having a difficult summer would be an understatement.
Gracing the cover of the Vogue UK's new October issue, Stewart strikes her usual pose, while providing the media with more discussion-worthy quotes.
In the magazine interview -- pre-scandal -- with reporter Christa d'Souza, the actress talks about difficulties of life in the public eye.
"People expect it to be easy because there you are, out there, doing the thing that you want and making lots of money out of it. But, you know, I'm not that smooth. I can get clumsy around certain people," she continues. "Like if I were to sit down and think, 'OK, I'm really famous, how am I going to conduct myself in public?' I wouldn't know who that person would be! It would be a lot easier if I could, but I can't."
"That world back then, it just seems freer to me than anything I could ever touch and I'm fully nostalgic for it, even though I wasn't even alive then. It's the loyalty aspect of it all. I love being on the periphery with a group of people who have the same values that I do. People who don't get off on fame, who just like the process of making movies and thrive," says Stewart.
This may seem like old news; Stewart has mentioned many times before that she's never felt comfortable with the consequences of her career and lifestyle. And news of her affair with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders didn't exactly help in that department. Though, as Stewart works on publicity for her film "On the Road," based on Jack Kerouac's famous novel, it seems she has more in common with people of the Beat Generation.
While her values have been put in question post cheating scandal, her success as a film actress continues. Catch Stewart in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" Nov. 16 and in "On the Road," which arrives to theaters Dec. 21st.
