Kristen Stewart dropped from 'Snow White and the Huntsman' sequel after cheating scandal

According to The Hollywood Reporter, although Universal hired screenwriter David Koepp to plan a contiuation of the original film, the studio is now settling his contract and re-shaping the project as a spinoff starring Hemsworth. Stewart will not be asked back, and it's unclear whether Sanders will helm the second movie.

"The studio is currently exploring options to continue the franchise," a Universal spokeswoman tells THR, with no mention of Stewart's status on the film. The studio is hoping to film the new movie starting in July of 2013 once Hemsworth is finished with "Thor 2" and all of his other projects on the horizon.

Sanders told MTV in June that he expected the second film to surround Stewart's Snow White dealing with her newfound power. "I think the corruption of power would be the second one," he says. "I think we've created this very chaste girl who's got to this position and now she's in this position of supreme power. ... People who get powerful sometimes lose their bearings and abuse that power and that's kind of an intoxicating theme."

Do you think this is a direct result of the publicity surrounding Stewart's and Sanders' affair? Is it fair if she's fired and he's not? Would you be more likely to see a "SWATH" sequel featuring K-Stew or a spinoff starring Hemsworth?
