Kristen Wiig and 'Bridesmaids' cast discuss male stripper research
Apparently Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been charged with finding "chocolate thunder," the perfect male stripper.
The ladies of "Bridesmaids" do not share Shepherd's excitement for nude, dancing men. They went to a strip club in researching the film and found it more funny than sexual.
"It was hysterical," says Rudolph. "It was like a wonderful musical."
"It's like a show," says Wiig. "A guy going to a strip club and a girl going to a strip club, they're totally different things. For guys, it's sexy. For girls... it's like a cowboy, tired and coming home from the range. There's stories."
Stories and not a lot of nudity. "There's a lot of teasing," says Rudolph, miming a briefly exposed rear end. "And then pulling the pants up. Then the next guy comes up in a workers' uniform."
The warm reception of the film also prompted concern from Hasselbeck that writer and star Wiig would soon outgrow her "Saturday Night Live" gig.
"I just signed a 65-year contract," she says, laughing, hinting that we might get at least one more year of her invaluable contribution to the series -- including her Hasselbeck impersonation...
