Lady Andrade suspended for punching Abby Wambach in U.S.-Colombia soccer match at 2012 Summer Olympics
FIFA does, however, have the ability to review the footage and take disciplinary action, which the organization has done -- a two-match suspension has been levied against Andrade, reports the AP. This means Andrade must sit out Colombia's final match of group play against France on Tuesday (july 31) and, if Colombia advances, the quarterfinal match-up later in the week.
The U.S. women's soccer team is back in action Tuesday as well, as they take on North Korea in the third match of group play. The U.S. team has already won both of its previous matches, which means it will advance to the quarterfinals either way, but the seeding will be higher if the team is 3-0 versus 2-1.
