Rebecca Francescatti sues Lady Gaga for alleged 'Judas' copyright infringement
A Chicago musician named Rebecca Francescatti is suing Lady Gaga for copyright infringement, claiming that the pop star's hit, "Judas," is far too similar her song, "Juda."
In her lawsuit, Francescatti is seeking money from the profits earned from "Judas" claiming that sound engineer, Brian Gaynor, who worked with both Francescatti and Gaga, "copied and incorporated substantial, original portions" of "Juda" into "Judas."
We have heard both songs and they bear no resemblance to each other in our opinion. Is this just a case of a no-name artist trying to get attention, or do you think she has a legitimate case on her hands?
Judge for yourselves. You can check out Francescatti's "Juda" over at Tradebit and watch Lady Gaga's video for "Judas" below.
