Lady Gaga releases video message on 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'

Lady Gaga seems to be giving all she can to help repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT), the policy of the U.S. government that prevents gays from being open about their sexuality while serving in the armed forces.

After appearing on the MTV Video Music awards with servicepersons who have been discharged from the military and having a tweet exchange with Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, Lady Gaga recorded the above video message.

In it, she explains the repercussions of "DADT" on about 14,000 discharged soldiers from the U.S. military since it was passed in 1993. Since then, the Serviceperson's Legal Defense Network [SLDN] alleges that even though many gay soldiers remain closeted, members of the military have gone beyond "DADT" to expose the soldiers.
