On Sunday's Sept. 12 MTV Video Music Awards, Lady Gaga was flanked by former servicemembers who had been discharged from the military for being gay.

It was a very public statement on the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) policy that former President Bill Clinton passed in 1994 and was recently ruled unconstitutional by U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips.

Today, the pop star asked her fans on her website to help get "DADT" repealed.
