Lamar Odom: Khloe Kardashian will 'always be my wife'

"I love my wife. She'll always be my wife, no matter what," the troubled basketball player tells Us Weekly following a Feb. 21 press conference for his new team, Baskonia (a.k.a. Laboral Kutxa). "Who knows? We don't know exactly if [the divorce is going through]. Only time will tell. I hope not. But even if we were divorced, she would always be my wife."

How Odom plans on keeping Kardashian as his wife now that he's moved to Spain to join Baskonia -- well, that remains to be seen.

Odom considers marrying Kardashian, who filed for divorce from him in December after four years together, one of his greatest accomplishments. "Those were some of the best years of my life," he says. "Being married and being married to a woman I decided to marry was, besides having children, the most important thing in my life."

Odom's marriage to Kardashian was plagued by unconfirmed rumors of infidelity and substance abuse, as well as a very public DUI arrest last summer. He admits he's not perfect.

"We all have regrets, but the thing is to learn from life," he says. "There's no one in this room, no one in this world who can say, 'I'm mistake-free, I have made no mistakes.'"
