Larry Hagman dies - Linda Gray and other celebs pay tribute on Twitter
J.R.'s original "Sue Ellen," Linda Gray, was reportedly by Hagman's side when he passed away. The actress tweeted, "So sad to lose such a wonderful dear bigger than life friend. Larry Hagman was one of a kind and will be with us all forever," followed by, "Thank you all for the love you have been sending about Larry's passing. He was a true icon loved by so many."
Jesse Metcalfe, who is one of Hagman's co-stars on the "Dallas" reboot, says via Twitter, "It was truly an honor to share the screen with Mr. Larry Hagman. With piercing wit and undeniable charm he brought to life one of the most legendary television characters of all time. But to know the man, however briefly, was to know a passion and dedication for life and acting that was profoundly inspirational."
Jordana Brewster, who also stars in the new "Dallas" series, tweets, "I feel lucky and humbled to have worked with such a great man and actor. We will miss you, Larry."
Katie Couric posted an Instagram photo of herself with Hagman, and the caption, "So sad to hear about Larry Hagman's passing. A picture of me with 'J.R.' from years ago."
Fellow TV bad guy you love to hate, Simon Cowell, offered his respects, and credited Hagman with the mantle, "Best TV baddie."
