Billed as a follow-up show, "The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore" will replace the Emmy-winning "Colbert Report" when host Stephen Colbert exits the spot to succeed David Letterman on CBS' "Late Show" early next year.

Wilmore is a successful comedy performer and writer, having written for shows such as "The Office" and "The Bernie Mac Show" (which he created with the late comedian). He has been a regular presence on "The Daily Show" since 2006.

"The Minority Report" will feature Wilmore leading a panel of voices each evening giving their take on the issues of the day.

Earlier in the week, ABC greenlit "Black-ish," a sitcom that Wilmore is set to executive produce.
