"Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" tends to tackle a lot of tough and important issues. The HBO show also features the trivial and funny, as seen in this video from Sunday's (Aug. 3) episode. That's what happens when the Port Authority of New York City attacks a plate manufacturer.

If you missed this silly story, the Port Authority has sent a cease-and-desist order to kitchen goods manufacturer Fish's Eddy over a dishware line that features the Manhattan skyline. Supposedly this depiction is a violation of the Port Authority's property and image.

One big problem with this is -- as John Oliver points out -- the Port Authority has a terrible reputation, thanks to its notorious bus terminal. This very NSFW video explains all of that in gruesome, profane detail. Enjoy!

"Last Week Tonight" airs Sundays at 11 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
