Latin Grammy Awards: Jesse & Joy and Juanes win big
The winners are in from the Latin Grammy Awards, which took place in Las Vegas on Thursday (Nov. 15). Coming out on top of the 13th annual awards show was Jesse & Joy, a Mexican pop duo who took home four trophies including Song of the Year and Record of the Year for "Corre." The siblings won the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist in 2007, and have had a rising career since.
Meanwhile, well-known Latin singer Juanes took home awards for both Album of the Year and Best Long Form Video. His album's producer, Juan Luis Guerra, shared the Album of the Year award and also was dubbed Producer of the Year. Mexican DJ collective 3BallMTY was named Best New Artist.
In addition to a night of revelry and fun, there were some exciting performances as well. Pitbull and Alejandro Sanz took to the stage, as did LMFAO and 3BallMTY as a pair and Juanes and Santana as a pair. It also wouldn't be an awards show night without one accidental F-bomb, which came courtesy of Carla Morrison when she took home the Best Alternative Album Grammy. If you missed it during the telecast, it's not because you weren't paying attention -- the curse was cut out.
