Those rumors that Whitney Houston and then-married Jermaine Jackson had an illicit affair together back in the '80s? Totally true, according to La Toya Jackson.

The former "Celebrity Apprentice" contestant visited "The Talk" on Monday, March 5 where she told the panel what her brother admitted about his relationship with the singer way back in 1984 when they recorded a song together.

"Well actually, to be quite honest with you, he did have a relationship -- and it was with ["Talk" co-host] Sharon [Osbourne]," Jackson jokes before getting to the truth.

In all seriousness though, Jackson admits that her brother denied a relationship in his book, but that was only out of respect for Houston's priacvy. "Well, in '84, Jermaine and Whitney did work together. That was the beginning of her career, basically," Jackson says. "Sometimes when you work closely with someone ..."

"I think that Jermaine wrote that in his book to protect Whitney at that particular time," she continues, "and he has admitted that they had an affair."

Osbourne is psyched to learn the juicy gossip, saying, "That's wonderful."

"Sharon loves a good scandal," explains co-host Julie Chen.
