MTV just announced that their girl, Lauren Conrad, who starred in "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills," is coming home again to the network that made her a star.

"It'll be something very, very different," she tells Ryan Seacrest hesitantly on his KIIS FM show Friday (Sept. 24) before MTV officially confirmed the show.

"I've always been open to doing reality again," Conrad says of her return to reality TV. "It's just under certain circumstances. I think as long as you have a separation, then it works. You have your personal life and your work life."

The new show will follow the 24-year-old as she develops her new contemporary line and will also touch on her other businesses.

Since leaving "The Hills," Conrad has gone on to launch her own clothing line and she has written three novels. Shooting on the show starts in October in Los Angeles, which Conrad still calls home. And, sorry, "My Boys" fans! She says her boyfriend, actor Kyle Howard, will not be in it.
