Deadline reports Graham is writing the pilot script and DeGeneres will executive produce through her A Very Good Production company at Warner Bros. TV.

The series is conceived as a hourlong drama with a witty tone that follows a young woman trying to make it as an actress in New York City. After giving herself three years, the aspiring actress has just six months left before she has resolved to give up her dream.

Graham currently stars in NBC's "Parenthood" and previously starred in the Warner Bros.-produced "Gilmore Girls."
