Laurence Fishburne goes 'CSI'-hopping in the fall

Laurencefishburne_csi_290 The various "CSI" shows on CBS haven't done a crossover in several seasons. That's going to change -- in a big way -- in the fall.

Laurence Fishburne will appear on all three versions of the show over a week in the fall (no airdate's been scheduled yet, but this feels like a sweeps stunt), the network says. The storyline will start on "CSI: Miami" on a Monday, move to "CSI: NY" on Wednesday and conclude with "CSI" classic on Thursday.

Details of the case that takes the more casually attired Langston across the country haven't been released yet.

The last "CSI" crossover occurred in 2005 with a two-part storyline involving "Miami" and "NY." Both "Miami" and "NY" also started with planted episodes within their predecessors.
