'Law & Order: SVU': Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay reunite for charity event

chris-meloni-mariska-hargitay-reunion2.jpgThis photo of former "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" co-stars Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay brings tears to our eyes.

The only thing that would make us happier would be if it were a photo of them teaming up to throw a rapist into Rikers, but hey, we'll take what we can get.

The partners in crimestopping reunited on Monday night (Nov. 14) for the 12th Annual Make Believe On Broadway Gala. Meloni is a longtime supporter of Only Make Believe, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for ailing children in hospitals to participate in interactive theater, with the hope that stimulating their imaginations lends itself to the healing process.

It's good to see that there are no hard feelings between the actors following Meloni's rather abrupt exit from "SVU" after 12 seasons together. In fact, Hargitay went out of her way to support Meloni at the event, as she had previously committed to the Worldwide Orphan event on the same evening.

Our Benson/Stabler shipping hearts are all a-flutter.
