LeAnn Rimes on 'Ellen': Affair with Eddie Cibrian 'could've been handled better'

rimes-ellen-wb.jpgWhen actress and country music star LeAnn Rimes takes the stage on the " The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Thursday (Sept. 29), she'll face the controversy about her personal life head on.

The singer, who shot to stardom at age 14 with her album "Blue," has been in news recently for her messy affair with her now husband Eddie Cibrian. The two were both married to other people when they began dating, Rimes to Dean Sheremet and Cibrian to Brandi Glanville.

On the subject of her affair with Cibrian, Rimes tells DeGeneres, "It could've been handled a lot better, but maybe we both didn't have the tools at the time to do it properly. But I've learned a lot...Sometimes you just want to scream. But you don't. We've learned to let it go and laugh at it at the end of the day."

Rimes also talks to DeGeneres about another popular topic as it relates to her, her weight.

She denies being anorexic or bulimic and instead explains media speculation on this topic is harmful.

"The press," she says, "they've been very irresponsible calling a lot of people, fat or anorexic or bulimic...It seems like bullying now instead of really taking these diseases seriously that a lot of people are going through."
