'Leverage' star Timothy Hutton joins ABC's 'American Crime'; Mary-Louise Parker leads NBC's 'Feed Me'Add to Favorites | Leverage
The pilot, from "12 Years a Slave" Oscar winner John Ridley, is about a racially charged murder trial in California's Central Valley and its effect on those involved. Hutton, formerly of TNT's "Leverage," will play the father of the murder victim. His character is a gambling addict who has managed to turn his life around.
Felicity Huffman ("Desperate Housewives") is in talks to play Hutton's wife, and Penelope Ann Miller has signed on to play the mother of the victim's wife, who was badly beaten when her husband was killed. The cast also includes Benito Martinez ("The Shield"), W. Earl Brown ("Deadwood"), Caitlin Gerard, Elvis Nolasco and Richard Cabral.

- "Weeds" star Mary-Louise Parker will star in NBC's comedy "Feed Me," about a family that runs a restaurant. It comes from writer Sally Robinson (Lifetime's "Steel Magnolias" remake, "Iron Jawed Angels").
- Diogo Morgado, who starred as Jesus in "The Bible" miniseries, is heading to The CW. He'll star in "The Messengers," about a group of people who learn they've been chosen to protect the planet from an impending alien invasion.
- Rufus Sewell ("Parade's End," "Eleventh Hour") will play one of the two leads in an ABC drama from writer Richard LaGravanese ("Behind the Candelabra"). The story is a New York-set, modern-day take on "Dangerous Liaisons" revolving around Sewell's character and a female rival.
